Life After Diagnosis coaching is personalized support for people living with neurological conditions who want to better understand their health, build sustainable lifestyle habits, navigate healthcare, and take an active role in living well. At Live Able Collective, coaching combines education, behavior-change strategies, practical tools to build nervous system capacity, and ongoing support to help you turn information and recommendations into a plan that works in your everyday life.

Physical therapy focuses on evaluating and treating movement, mobility, balance, strength, and other functional concerns related to a neurological condition. Coaching takes a broader view, helping you understand your condition, build health-supporting habits, navigate your healthcare and resources, and create strategies for managing life with a neurological condition over time. At Live Able Collective, my background as a neurological physical therapist informs my coaching, but coaching and physical therapy remain distinct services.
-
Many people find that physical therapy and coaching work well together. PT focuses on your movement and function, while Live Able coaching helps you build the habits and long-term plan to keep moving forward.
-
A new neurological diagnosis can come with a lot of information—and often just as many questions. A good starting point is understanding your diagnosis, identifying what you can influence, building the right healthcare and support team, and determining which changes matter most for you right now.
If you've noticed changes in your balance, mobility, or strength, or you're not sure what movement or exercise is safe for your condition, in-home physical therapy can be a good first step to address those concerns directly. From there, many people move into coaching to build a longer-term plan. Live Able can help you sort through the information, identify your priorities, and figure out where to start, whether that's PT, coaching, or both.
-
Absolutely. Living well with a neurological condition is an ongoing process, and your needs, symptoms, priorities, and circumstances can change over time. Coaching can help you reassess what's working, identify new challenges or opportunities, strengthen your self-management strategies, and create a plan that reflects where you are now, not just where you were when you were first diagnosed.
If you've noticed a change in your mobility, balance, or strength, had a recent fall, or feel like you've plateaued since finishing rehab, in-home physical therapy can help address what's changed. It works well alongside coaching, or as a starting point of its own.

Live Able Collective provides Life After Diagnosis coaching and physical therapy for people living with neurological conditions—whether you’ve been recently diagnosed or have been navigating a chronic neurological condition for years. Services include the Live Able Program, our signature 12-week coaching program designed to help you better understand your condition, build supportive lifestyle habits, navigate your healthcare, and create a personalized plan for moving forward. Individual coaching sessions are also available for those seeking focused support around a specific goal, challenge, or transition without committing to the full program. Specialized neurological physical therapy services are available for a limited number of individuals who may benefit from skilled assessment and treatment. General fitness sessions are available upon request and provide personalized support for improving strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and overall physical well-being.

It depends on the service.
Coaching and general fitness are self-pay. I don't bill insurance or Medicare for these services, and they aren't covered by insurance. I believe your care should be driven by your goals, needs, and priorities, not by what an insurance plan considers medically necessary or how many visits it will cover. This gives us the freedom to focus on what matters most to you, adjust as your needs change, and take a more personalized, whole-person approach.
Neurological physical therapy is offered in your home through a small, focused caseload, primarily on a private-pay basis. For eligible private-pay services, I can provide a superbill on request so you can submit it to your own insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement; reimbursement isn't guaranteed and depends on your plan. A limited number of traditional Medicare Part B patients are also accepted and billed directly to Medicare.
Availability for Medicare Part B patients is limited, so please reach out early to ask about openings. Email me or fill out the Contact form, and I'll walk you through which option fits your situation.
Note: Traditional Medicare Part B is not Medicare Advantage. I am out of network for all Medicare Advantage plans.

Insurance-based physical therapy typically comes with limits I don't think serve you well: a set number of visits, care tied to what's "medically necessary" rather than what actually matters to you, and short sessions driven by productivity requirements rather than your needs. Operating primarily as a private-pay practice lets me spend real time with each client, adapt care as your needs change, and focus on your goals rather than what a plan will approve.
For eligible private-pay physical therapy services, I can provide a superbill on request so you can submit it to your own insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. I also accept a limited number of traditional Medicare Part B patients, billed directly to Medicare.

I'm a neurological physical therapist first. That means I understand what's happening in your brain and body, not just how to set goals. Over 17 years, I've become known across Atlanta for my work with Parkinson's disease. I expanded the movement disorders physical therapy program at Emory, taught Parkinson's care to Emory and Georgia State DPT students, and spoken at more than 40 local and national events.
I'm also deeply connected to Atlanta's neurological community: neurologists, specialists, therapists, support groups, and exercise programs. Part of what I offer is knowing who's worth knowing and helping you find them, so you're not piecing together a care team on your own.
And I'm in this for the long haul. I've walked alongside many of my patients for years, and I bring the same care, creativity, and curiosity to every session. No two sessions look the same, because no two people (or days) living with a neurological condition are the same.
